This course gave me some very valuable tools and ideas toward approaching crisis management in a structured and orderly manner.The approach to the 4-C’s. PREP, Strategic Thinking and Debrief activities were some of the best I have ever seen for a course like this.

This program is wonderful for helping people write their goals and plans out and then follow ups with a tool to evaluate (debrief) why they were met or not met.  Envision (starts with the goals), Engage (action steps), Execute (action steps), Execute (did you do them?), Debrief (why did you achieve your goals or not achieve them!) Loved it!

This program did a great job of incorporating creative learning techniques into making regular business decisions and preparing for crisis management.

The Talon was a very good class that I believe everyone who participates would walk away with something that would help them to accomplish their goals in life and business.

This course provided a broader knowledge base for the planning and preparation of agency/company goals and objectives. Not only for response to crisis, but to everyday planning and goal achievement.

If you have any misconceptions about the Talon Challenge being appropriate for your agency or business, you are wrong. This program is appropriate for all aspects of business and different job descriptions of staff. The Knowledge and passion of the instructors was excellent. Thank you for the program and training.

The Talon Challenge material and its content, and teaching of it all, was very well done.  The required class participation and role playing is very helpful to people, and will help one overcome public speaking fright.

...it was nice to spend this past Monday in an air-conditioned conference room participating in the Leadership in the Trenches Course at the ASFHS Center.  I enjoyed the course very much and after reviewing some the literature posted on Jim’s website, appreciate your efforts to really streamline the material to make it easily digestible and practical for all the participants regardless of position or experience.  For me, the course served as a good way to focus on my leadership style and refine some of my approaches in dealing with the wide range of direct reports that I oversee.  Simple concepts such as PREP which when combined with the principles of a Management Action Plan, can yield simple but effective results which if then actively supported can be sustained.  As Harry said,  “It’s not rocket science”.  However, it was a nice change to have things presented at a comfortable level of understanding instead of the usual “consultant talk”.
